Au revoir New York City - thank you for a fabulous welcome - we'll be back again soon!
On 9/11 evil murders brought down the Twin Towers ... BUT only the great nation of America could rebuild with this phenomenal structure - The Freedom Tower, New York's tallest building reaching up to the heavens.
A very moving and thought provoking couple of hours - thinking what the years following Sept 11th 2001 have brought upon our world. We spent our final full day at the Natural History Museum and at Central Park, exploring the north of the city
In New York's Time Square as the clock ticks over for our wonderful daughter Katy's 16th birthday... Happy Birthday young lady!
One meets some great people, and no time wasted in the city that never sleeps... straight out onto Broadway at the Ethel Barrymore Theatre to watch 'The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time'
Hard to believe that it was exactly a week ago that I was in a sealed off Portuguese street with a nasty savage bull and a bottle of Super Bock beer, ate a wonderful black pig dinner washed down with an excellent red wine, had a fabulous time at the fun fair, broke up a fight in a nightclub, witnessed a fantastic firework display ... and a memorable nightcap to round off the evening with our great friends
-Paul Leaving Portugal after cramming so much into five eventful days - fabulous time with special friends - thanks for your hospitality guys! We'll be back!
After a busy day touring around Lisbon, I guess an ice cold beer is called for as the sun goes down over the Park of Nations - we're all still laughing about the terrible service we had at lunch today! Fabulous hot sunny day doing something I've not done for years - lazed on the beach .... at an intimate little place well off the beaten track named Comporta... Great friends, sand, sea, excellent food and few cold beers from the beach hut! It's great friends that make perfect days! |
